Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in light electrical work to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and conducting repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical components, such as switches, circuit breakers, and motors, to identify and resolve issues.
Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, or fixtures using hand and power tools.
Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
Install new electrical systems or upgrades as needed, following safety protocols and building codes.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment inventory.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and contractors to complete projects and tasks efficiently.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, with a focus on electrical maintenance.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and controls.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
